Prior to your arrival, Nox requires our guests to be verified and for a security deposit to be collected.

We’ve partnered with Superhog, a globally recognized trust and safety company that allows hosts and guests to confidently transact.

Please note that once you have booked, you will be contacted directly by Superhog to complete your booking validation, which includes ID verification. We also use Superhog to collect either a fully refundable deposit (plus a non-refundable admin fee) or a non-refundable damage waiver.

Both the deposit and the waiver cover you for any accidental damage caused during your stay. Please complete your validation prior to check-in.

The benefit for our guests of using Superhog is that there are no credit card fees and, if using a foreign card to do a deposit, your foreign currency is protected and will not be subject to exchange rate fluctuations.

Security deposit:

Our guests have the following options (administered via Superhog) for securing your rental:

  1. Pay a waiver of R750 ($35).

    1. This will cover up to R10,000 worth of accidental damages
    2. This covers the cost of making good any accidental loss or damage to the property and/or its contents caused through act or omission by you.
  2. Pay a refundable damage deposit of R10,000 or R20,000.

    1. The amount of the deposit varies depending on the size of the property you’ve booked. This is also administered through Superhog, and will be refunded within 14 days of your departure should there be no claim events.
    2. The deposit will be subject to a R350 processing fee, charged by Superhog.
